Join us on August 27 for a film screening and discussion to learn about the Roma Genocide during the Holocaust.
The evening will begin with a brief introduction to the history of Roma in Canada by Gina Csanyi-Robah, Co-founder and Executive Director of the Canadian Romani Alliance, followed by an overview of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) Recommendations for Teaching and Learning about the Roma Genocide.
The program will feature a screening of the award-winning Canadian documentary A People Uncounted: The Untold Story of the Roma, directed by Aaron Yager and featuring testimony from Roma Holocaust survivors. A Q&A session will follow the film.
